Geikie Gorge Aboriginal Heritage Adventure 4WD Tour with Fitzroy River Cruise from Broome




Considered one of the great marvels of the Kimberley, Geikie Gorge has long been one of the most visited icons of the region. Breaking en route for morning tea (at own expense) arrive at Fitzroy Crossing and head out to Geikie Gorge for a picnic lunch. The 2-hour Aboriginal Darngku Heritage Cruise is hosted by local Bunuba Aboriginal Cultural guides who provide a fascinating insight into Aboriginal culture, Dreamtime stories, bush tucker, animal tracks, traditional plant use and cultural practices. Alternatively take a 1-hour cruise with Calm National Park Authority available from May to October, but required a one-hour waiting time prior to boarding.

On both tours you see geological sea fossils, crocodiles, exotic birds and other native animals. On our journey back to Broome we break for dinner (at own expense) and arrive in Broome at approximately 10:30pm.
